Valentine’s Day Crafts
Pizza My Heart Craft
For this project, Anahita & her daughter used 2 paper plates. We cut a “pizza” slice from one plate & used the second plate as the background. We used watercolors to paint the sauce, cheese and crust. Once it dried, we used heart shaped foam stickers as the pepperoni.
This was a "delicious" bonding activity, a nice 30-minute craft perfect for antsy little one & a fun and festive escape with Mom!
Vday Crown Craft
First, get a piece of paper that is long enough to make a crown out of. We used poster board for this one.
Second, decorate your crown with stickers, drawings, glitter, beads, and other precious metals and jewels fit for a king or queen.
Lastly, fold your crown in a circle and staple or tape it so it can stay on their head.
This craft is perfect for all those kings and queens out with their grown up on V-Day. Look at the crown Anahita and her daughter made for their royal holiday! (All supplies purchased at the Dollar Tree for under $10)

Some parents love the idea of DIY projects...and parents are turned off by the thought of it. I LOVE it! Whether it's crafting something for your home's decor, making a hand-made hostess gift for a friend, goodies & favors for a party, holiday decorations, or even keeping your little one occupied with a new and fun activity...the DOLLAR STORE has become my favorite place to get supplies to do all these things!
I mean you can find almost ANYTHING you need for $1.00! That sure beats spending way more money at other craft stores for pretty much the exact same item. Of course it goes without saying, but some Dollar Stores have more variety than others- so you may have to do some digging to find exactly what you're looking for.
My favorite Dollar Store project is an activity for my 2.5 year old Toddler.
She is at the age and developmental stage where she wants to help with everything, show off her independence, and practice being creative. I found the best watercolor set at the Dollar Store with a new Coloring Book AND an adorable painting apron...and for $3.00 she was entertained for hours....on multiple days. Quick, easy and fairly easy to clean up activity that she could do on her own (except tying her apron), and then feel good about "making a painting" for everyone in the family. I also found quite a bit of arts & crafts supplies like glue, pom poms, pipe cleaners and more. She loves gluing everything to her poster paper to "make an art project." :)
Even for Christmas, I bought a few simple stocking stuffers that she loved:
24 piece puzzle, glow sticks for the bath tub, play-doh, princess jewelry, chalk, bubbles, washable markers, and some brand name snacks that always win a toddler over.
